We are excited to announce 2024 Spring Baseball registration is now open! There is a great deal of information that follows about the upcoming season so please read carefully. Our program has continually grown and therefore we encourage you to register ASAP to ensure your child's spot. Waitlists will occur once we reach capacity or do not have enough coaches for a particular age group. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at
collegegrovebaseball@gmail.com.
Spring League Details
- Registration is open until February 7th at www.collegegroverecreationcenter.org. Login if you already have an account otherwise select "Register" in the top right corner to create an account.
- Space is limited based on coach volunteers. Please register as a coaching volunteer if you are interested, so we can allow as many kids to play as possible. We will start waitlists if not enough coaches sign up.
- We will be offering age divisions 5U tee-ball, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and possibly 16U (if enough kids register).
- The age cut off is your child's age as of APRIL 30, 2024. For example, if your child is either 7 or 8 on April 30, 2024 they will be in the 8U division. If they are 9 or 10 they will be in the 10U division and so on.
- Games will be at Lions Club Park at College Grove in front of College Grove Elementary School, Cecil Lewis Park at Trinity, Bethesda Park or Heritage Park in Thompsons Station. Games for 14U and above can be played at other locations around the county.
- Rec league teams play one game twice a week, which can be weeknights and/or Saturdays
- 5U games will be primarily on Saturdays
- 6U - 12U will participate in the end of season SMTB Tournament (including BRC, EWA, SWA and CGR) in late October
- Typically two practices per week in pre-season and one practice per week once games begin.
- For 8U, 10U and 12U we will have mandatory evaluations in February. Additional information regarding evaluations for each age group will be sent later.
Open League Details (8U, 10U, 12U ONLY)
The goal of the Open League is to create an option for players to compete against a higher level of competition. As a result we believe this benefits our rec leagues by allowing kids more opportunities to play a variety of positions to enhance their development. Open League teams come from surrounding parks and communities. If you are interested in submitting an Open team into our league please contact me directly at
[email protected] as space is limited.
College Grove typically submits our own Open team into the league led by one of our many great coaches for 8U, 10U and 12U. We will be holding tryouts for College Grove's affiliated open teams in February, more information will be sent as we get closer.
- Open league teams play one doubleheader a week that is typically on a weeknight (M - F)
- Open league teams will participate in the SMTB Open Tournament in May
- Typically two practices per week in pre-season and one practice per week once games begin

College Grove is a non-profit organization and we try to keep our registration fees as low as possible. It is very important to us that every child has an opportunity to participate.
